Re: Please share your experiences with us!

Carrie, We have been a part of the HOD family for five years now. I love the fact that the history is both biblical and secular. Each year has been exciting because there is always something new to look foward to. We especially liked MTMM because I didn't add anything else to it and it went very smo...

High School Sample Book List?

Carrie, I was wondering if there is going to be a sample book list for high school like there was for the lower grades. I also wanted to let you know that my ds finished MTMM yesterday for the school year. I have been teaching HOD for five years now. Every year has been great, however this year went...

Re: New Math Recommendation: World Geography Guide

Carrie, Thank you for answering my question and telling me about your son. In PS they do Algebra 1, Geometry, and then Algebra II with some reviewing of Algebra I. I wanted to do Algebra I, Algebra II and then Geometry because he wouldn't forget Algebra I if he had both algebras together. Then I was...

Re: New Math Recommendation: World Geography Guide

Carrie, My ds has always used worktexts or workbooks with math. How would he use Foerster? Would he write all the problems from the book onto paper and then write down the answer. He is not very excited about doing that. Do you have any other ideas that woould better motivate him? I was considering ...

Science Lab Option for World Geography

Carrie,
I noticed that you have given us the option to buy the science package with or without the Science lab.
Could you explain in more detail why we may or may not choose to incorporate the lab with the science
for World Geography. Thank you.
Blessings,
Diane

Achievement Tests

I am wondering what tests most of you ladies use. The three main ones are the Stanford, the Iowa and the CAT.
Carrie I would welcome your input as well. Thanks.

Greek for High School

Carrie, My ds wants to learn Greek in 9th grade, for conversation and for studying the bible. I don't want to do Hey Andrew. What would you reccommend? I have been looking at Homeschool Greek, Basics of Boblical Greek and Elementary Greek. Also for learning the Greek alphabet, there is Greek Alphabe...

Carrie, did I miss it?

Carrie,
I loved the sneak peeks of the new geography guide, however I didn't see anything about the math or geography
books that are being used. Did I miss the thread about it? Also, are you going to have a foreign language for that guide.
Blessings,
Diane

Re: Sneak Peek #5: New World Geography Guide

Carrie,
We are using the older version of The Fallacy Detective this year, however we have not used The Art of Arguing.
What should I do about next year? Should I just use The Art of Arguing and give him the half credit because he completed The Fallacy Detective this year?
Blessings,
Diane

Re: Math Philosophy with Sneak Peek #11 on the end...

Carrie, Thank you for your labor of love. This is our fourth year doing HOD. We started the year you wrote Preparing and will go into M to M next year. We didn't do Singapore because I thought it would be too hard starting in the middle of the program. We did different programs, however we are doing...
