Re: Looking for new guide's Living Library book list -
Oh, if Carrie hasn't listed them, I will just order one of the other packages like the Literature or Logic for now. I just thought maybe I had missed a post. Thanks for the response though!

Looking for new guide's Living Library book list -
The link in the sneak peek with the pricing guide links to the logic stuff, and the link to the logic stuff links to a living library discussion but no list. My dh wants me to start buying the packages now as it is easier on our budget and he knows I want to spend time reading this summer. :) But I ...

Wanted to share a tip in regards to keeping track of books.
I now own all of the guides from Little Hearts to MTMM and of course all of the books that go with them! I wanted to pass on what I have done to keep sane and keep all of the books straight. I put on the spine near the bottom of every book associated with a guide a colored sticker. (some nee...

Re: Placement for 8th/9th grader
Because of the course my kids are on, they hit the Rev2Rev guide in 8th grade and MTMM in 9th, so we just use the extensions and beef up the science for high school credit. We did give the hs credit for the EE science in Rev2Rev. It works well!

Re: Can I get any tips on "Vocabulary" in Bigger?
I made a sheet for vocabulary with a place for the word, picture, definition and context sentence. My dd needed the larger drawing space. Then we will make a book out of it at the end of the year. For the dictionary, that skill has progressed through the year. At first she had to find the correct le...

Re: Question about typing oral narrations in MTMM
I want to chime in as this was a totally new concept for us. I was tempted to forego having me write them because he does a great job with both his oral and written narrations, but I try to stay as close to the guide as possible so I gave it a try. It is a good thing for both of us as he has to thin...

Re: Geography Guide Lit - Need BJU tests?
On the list Carrie put in this recent thread with all of the package prices, etc. it does NOT show use of the tests. She has just the BJU Fundamentals of Literature Student Text (2nd ed.) and 2 Teacher's Guides with CD (2nd ed.) listed. No mention of the test book or key. http://www.heartofdakota.co...

Re: Is BLHFHG fun??
We used it last year, and it is a lot of fun. Very sweet stories, fun little activities. We used it for 2nd grade. My daughter was sometimes so caught up in the books - especially the Stories of the Pilgrims and Boys/Girls of Colonial Days that she would BEG me to keep reading. The science led to ma...

Re: Extensions verses Self-Study History books in Preparing
We do both of the sets. I had my daughter read the Deluxe Self-Study books on her own instead of having me read them aloud and did whatever was in the independent study box, but she also did the extension books and I did the questioning in the appendix with her when she was done. This was done in he...

Re: How can you tell when your child is not placed correctly
Having done all of the other guides, I can recommend to NOT bump her up to CTC. There is a big jump in content and then you are then potentially in a cycle of everything being a challenge. Also, there is a certain maturity that needs to develop. We did Preparing with my daughter as a 5th grader, and...

Re: MTMM for highschool? Advice please!!
My son is doing MTMM for 9th grade high school, and my daughter will end up in MTMM in 9th grade too. (And we are preparing our kids for college if that helps.) Now that we are nearly done with it this year, I am very glad I didn't opt out of doing it in search of something else. I have no trouble g...
