Re: Lesson Planning help

I would love something like that too. I'll be watching this thread. I tried using my HST last night, but it seemed like so much work! I'm not for making things harder than they need to be. :)

Re: Anyone use Homeschool Tracker?

Thanks for your help, Lynn. I played around with it last night. My child is not in an "official" high school guide, so the course descriptions would be a little more difficult for me to come up with. I'm thinking it might be a lot more work than I want to do. :( I don't mind doing the work if I real...

Anyone use Homeschool Tracker?

I'm very comfortable with HST, but I can't figure out what is the best way to set it up with HOD up for transcripts. (i.e courses, subjects etc.) I'm wondering if anyone has already done this? I'd love to know how you've done it. :)

Thanks!

Re: Grading in the World Geography Guide. . . .

………..Also, the website http://www.teascript.com is a great place to go to actually make your transcript if you prefer not to go through the work of making the transcript the way Janice lays out in her book. We used this site for our own son, Cole, and it makes a very nice transcript. This is anothe...

Re: Spelling: I question

I love "The Logic of English". I love the rules because then things make sense to me , and I can explain the reasons for different spellings when I am teaching my children. I used to hate teaching them to read and then have to say, "Um, well, that doesn't make that sound in this word." Now, usually,...

Help!

My son is trying to do the timeline box on Unit 3 day 3. It is telling him to look up something in "Famous Men of Rome." However, the book we have is "Famous Men of the Middle Ages." Is this a misprint?

BHFHG Unit 2 Art project question

I'm not sure what to do with the plastic wrap. Am I supposed to crumple it up and then lay it flat on the paper? I'm pretty artistically challenged

Re: What do you do when you get behind in your daily schedul

I know that cramming things in does not work for us because it causes so much stress on everyone. Don't know how your kids respond to rushing, but for us, it does not work. I heartily agree! :D I just spent 2 days working out a new schedule (it looks wonderful on paper  ) It is hard for me to...
