Re: SINGAPORE MATH 1A/1B

I'm using the LHFHG book (which I have already - I'm just ordering the supplemental books now), and it's recommended that I order 1A & 1B, both textbooks and workbooks, but it sounds like we'd probably be o.k. with just the workbooks, or am I missing something?

Thanks for the help! :D

SINGAPORE MATH 1A/1B

Hi, there. I'm trying to finalize my order, and I saw that there is a textbook and workbook required for 1A & 1B Singapore Math, and I'm wondering - Is the textbook just basically teaching the concepts, and then the workbook is for working the problems out?

Thanks,

Briana

Re: Do I need teacher manuals and test books for LHFHG?

Hi, Teena. Yes, there's a teacher manual for "History for Little Pilgrims",and "A Reason for Handwriting", and I'm not sure if there's others.
I'm glad to know that we don't need them, though!
I'll definitely have to look for the home-made game board instructions. That sounds great!

Thanks,

Do I need teacher manuals and test books for LHFHG?

I have another question that I'm hoping someone can help me with. I've noticed that there are teacher manuals and/or test books for some of the supplemental books for LHFHG, like "Our Father's World", and some others. It's not stated in the catalog or on the HOD website that I need them, but I just ...

Re: RE: HAS ANYONE USED HOOKED ON PHONICS FOR LHFHG?

Thanks to all of you for your help. Kay, to answer your question, the son I was referring to is 7, and unfortunately, because of my past frustration and discouragement, he's behind where he should be, but I strongly believe that this curriculum will help us to catch up, and I can't wait to get start...

Re: RE:MATH QUESTIONS FOR LHFHG

Thanks to all of you for your help. The input has helped me decide that I will continue to use HOP for phonics/reading,and supplement with Explode the Code (which I've heard wonderful things about), and I'll switch to Singapore for math for both of my boys (ages 4 and 7). One other question that I h...

Re: RE:MATH QUESTIONS FOR LHFHG

Hi, Jen. Thank you so much for the warm welcome. I know I will find the answers to my questions here. When I found this curriculum (LHFHG), I felt such a peace, and then I went to the website to see if there was a program for my 4-year old (where I found LHTH) , and then I found the message boards, ...

RE: HAS ANYONE USED HOOKED ON PHONICS FOR LHFHG?

Hi! I just posted with a question for math, and now I have one for phonics/reading, as well. We already have Hooked on Phonics, and we've been using it, but we're still in Level 1. My son doesn't mind it, but does struggle with it at times, with occasional (I know that there will be struggles when l...

RE:MATH QUESTIONS FOR LHFHG

Hi. I'm brand new to HOD, and I'm so excited! I just found HOD last week (with the Lord's help, I believe), and had a real peace about using this curriculum, which is such a relief, because home-schooling has been a lot of frustration and worrying up until now, but I knew without a doubt that I was ...
