Re: Starting Dictation after Christmas
I can help with this one! The first thread speaks to your question about how to choose a level for your student. :D The other threads are ones I have bookmarked and contain a nugget here and there to help make dictation a success. Studied dictation is amazing! http://www.heartofdakota.com/board3/vie...

Daisy,
Welcome back lady!!!! I grieved the "loss" of your blog but was encouraged by the reason you left the social media for a season (your sweet girl).

Re: Julie, Carrie, or anyone - Need guidance
Dear Pam, :D I am writing a reply to simply say that you are doing an amazing job with your daughter. As I read your posts what stands out to me are these few things. First, you love the Lord and are continually seeking Him. Since He is faithful to guide us as we trust and seek Him then you are on t...

Re: Is there anything wrong with setting an alarm for my kid
My older boys have to set their alarm for 6:30 and their Dad wants them "ready to start the day" by 6:50. I am struggling a bit with my wake up time (5:50 a.m.) so we are not as "on task" in the mornings as would be ideal. But, we ARE striving to make small changes each week. I cannot IMAGINE not re...

We have one child who is definitely like you and I anticipate that this child, if by God's grace he is saved, will have a vigorous f...

No weird symbols here but ....
WOW!!! Carrie, I am astonished. The Sneak Peek is beautiful. I praise God for you and the way He is ministering to the homeschool community through your family. I SERIOUSLY want to be in 9th grade this year.

Re: Screamer
Hugs. :D I have spent many read aloud sessions yelling the story. It was comical. Ideas for 18m old: Isolate in crib or room for "Room Time". Play happy music. Put safe toys and board books. Set timer for this and then close the door. School like mad and ignore screaming because you know t...
