Re: Go ahead and start LHFHG?

Hello, I don't really have an answer but just wanted to say your son reminds me of my oldest who was very curious and advanced in his thinking and learning early on. In my case I did not use HOD and I wish I had! I switched curriculum so many times and my son never was grounded in the basics and nev...

Re: As we move into high school, the design of the guides...

Just remembered something else I wanted to add... I think bullet points are great. If you need to have a "basic instructions" page to refer students to for repetitive instructions, that might work too. I don't think it is weird at all if the formate changes from day to day from paragraph to bullets ...

Re: As we move into high school, the design of the guides...

Carrie, As I have already mentioned, I am fervently praying for you as you design and write the high school guides. I don't know how far my oldest will go within the guides, but I have a few other children behind him. I have been praying for you to rest in His perfect plan and to walk confidently th...

Re: Suggestions for my situation?

Just a quick suggestion...there are toptions for LHTH. Two bibles, three different options for devotionals, and the option to do thinking skills instead of the rod and staff workbooks. This would make your next year look different if you chose to change some of the books. ;-)

Hope that helps a lil.

Re: Beefing up HOD's earlier guides for high school

I just remembered there is a link at the top on how to do this! :-p

Still open to any thoughts or maybe anyone who has done this already...how did you do it?

Thanks,
Mercy

Beefing up HOD's earlier guides for high school

Carrie posted awhile ago... One last thought I will mention that won't pertain to Florence's question, but will pertain for those of you possibly thinking of using HOD's younger 4 year sequence of guides from CTC on up for high school instead, it would likely work (with some beefing up as suggested)...

Re: As we move into high school, the design of the guides...

Carrie, Given your response (sorry I missed the first one!) I vote with the continued daily plans. I can always buy a weekly planner...thinking of the well-planned high school or something like that to keep the weekly perspective, but I cannot find daily guidance anywhere else! ;-) Thank you again f...

Re: As we move into high school, the design of the guides...

Tammy, thank u for making it easier for me to post because I can just say ditto! I was wondering the same thing about credits/transcript...and I likr the idea of a mini planner/grade book with key info on each upcoming week that is for the student and teacher meeting maybe. ;-) Thank u so much for y...

Re: What guides are you doing?

I hesitated to write in and say what we are doing because it is very anti-norm. My husband lost his job and we are on a very very tight budget and have been for awhile. Somehow I sold some of the items my oldest needs, so he is working from only some of the ctc guide right now and some other subject...

Re: OT - Update on our Dad and 50th Anniversary Celebration

Carrie and Julie, Since I am all signed in I figure I should mention I have been praying for your dad and family since you first announced his struggles. I'm so grateful to God to hear such an awesome testimony of the Lord's healing and their joy in the midst of pain! Thank you for keeping us update...

Any suggestions of what I might be doing wrong? Thanks for sharing btw...I love the sound of it. Blessing...
