I would say a little each day to sort of cement what they learned but that it would be very easy prep for the parent and maybe a larger one every other week or something like that to bring in the big concepts and sort of tie up loose ends. So I guess I am the I want it all type :-)

I have a five year old in LHFG and actually a three year old that will be four in a couple of months. So they each do the program the same but writing different. My three year old has more of the R&S preschool books like Do It Carefully and she does those. My five year old is a self induced copy wor...

Ok you got the real answer from Carrie :-), yeah! I will just answer your question about running different Math and LA where you have to. Yes you will still have a life. I run 4 different LA and 3 Math in my family all the time. It's having all this other stuff done for you that is the huge deal. LH...

Mary, Ok now after reading this I will answer you here so you can really be mad at me :-) I think your plan sounds great! I seem to remember it is pretty economical and that you have one that learns differently. Could you keep it to enforce what it has been really good for only. Like for instance if...

Hey Mary :-) I sent you a "little" note on the other board to try to help you. But I know you will also get replies here :-)
It is kind of based on what Carrie told me about m kids. Hoping you will get something directly about ours so I did not want to confuse things here.

I would love to see both. Where it is maybe the week to begin followed by the daily plan. I like this because then I know what I have on the plate for the week. If it works better for me to do two days of history one day and two of science the next day I can now do that easier. I'm thinking why make...

For my little ones 1 1/2 to 2 hours but that would include some activity type things like art. Fr my older to mid elementary I would say 4 would be good but in practice we do longer because we start with a long Bible study. So for that reason for our family 5-5 1/2 would be average and needed for wh...

Thanks Carrie, that is awesome. That will be perfect for my youngest two. I wish I could pack them all through it but my older guys are doing Ancients and OT now and my oldest will be in 6th next year so it is kind of not in line age wise. But in practice it seems to work better to work two programs...

Candice, I just wanted to encourage you that you can have it any way you want. One of the thing that I love about HOD programs is you can have LA anyway you want plus it addresses some of the LA issues that are often neglected by other "complete" LA programs, like good literature and writing. My old...

I have my kids split into two groups of older and younger kids using LHFG and another program. I have tried many time to use a schedule by time but I am naturally resistant I guess, so I work in blocks, perfect for LHFG! We start our day with the older kids and have the first a very in depth Bible s...

Wow! I came looking for this answer. I just want to make sure I have this correct. If you were presently at the LHFG level you could plan that releases will be ahead of you so that you would have 7 consecutive years of Heart of Dakota programs if you wanted no problem. Is this right? If so I am exci...

We love this program!

I just wanted to tell people that this is a wonderful curriculum. I originally bought it to have on the side actually to another program. I thought I could use it to give the other program more depth for my 5 year old while I used it along side my 3 year old. I tried very hard to make the other prog...
