Question about amount of American History Credits

How many credits of American History are earned in the last 2 high school guides? Is it 1 or 2? From what I can tell, it looks like 2 credits total of American History, which is more than I thought was needed with Gov't and Economics included. Thanks for any help :)

Options For Listing Credit in English for WG

Hi, ladies :) I was just looking over my new WG guide and was reading the Course Description and options for listing credit in English and I had a question. It says: "Select one of the following options for listing credit in English, and Composition. English I (includes English Grammar, Literature, ...

MtMM Unit 23 Day 2 Dead Links on History Project

Does anyone know if there is an update to the links listed for History Project on Unit 23 Day 2? Both of the links given are dead. I thought there was a place on the HoD website that listed updates to dead links and such, but I can't find it now and I don't see a note made on the printout of updates...

Awesome! That does help. Thanks so much, Julie! I'm sure they'll both be glad to hear they can start doing R&S at a slower pace now

Well, I don't know how it happened, but...

...both of my kiddos are a lot further ahead in Rod and Staff English than I realized for the guides that they're in. Ds in 8th using MtMM is about half-way through English 7 and dd in 6th using Res to Ref is just starting English 6. The only thing I can think that may be the reason they're so far a...

Re: VideoText Algebra and Creating Transcripts

Ladies, I do apologize for posting this question and then not following up! Life got busy and well, and I meant to come back, but just plain forgot! Thank you all so much for your responses and advice! I'm not in a huge hurry to start making out transcripts at this point since my ds i...

VideoText Algebra and Creating Transcripts

Hi ladies, Hopefully some of you who are familiar with VideoText and have been down this road can help a clueless homeschool mama out. I'm entering new territory of keeping high school records for transcripts for my 8th grader who is already in Module D (out of Modules A - F) of VideoText Alge...

Re: Half-speed MtMM for a 6th grader

Thanks so much again, Julie and everyone else. I really appreciate your help! I've decided to just move her up to Res to Ref and will just have her do Medieval Based Writing Lessons as scheduled in the guide along with continuing on with where she's at in R and S English and we'll deal with WWTB II ...

Re: Half-speed MtMM for a 6th grader

Thank you so much for your response and advice, Julie. :D After praying and thinking on it, I think I am finally at a place of peace with just moving her up 1 level to Res to Ref. If I do that, is it ok to skip WWTB 1 and let her use Medieval Writing Lessons, or will she need WWTB Vol 1 first in ord...

Re: Half-speed MtMM for a 6th grader

Amy- I guess the reason I was thinking possibly Rev to Rev was bc when she did a trial day at half speed with MtMM yesterday and today, she just did SO well. I thought maybe that meant she could do the guide before MtMM at full speed bc of that. Honestly, I think I'm making myself more and more conf...

Re: Half-speed MtMM for a 6th grader

Ok, ladies. Thank you so much for your thoughts. :D So, wow.. is this common to think you have your child placed in just the right guide for several years and then suddenly ..BAM... they're needing way more challenging work? Lol I had almost the same thing happen with my 14 yr old ds. He was placed ...

Re: Half-speed MtMM for a 6th grader

My 6th grade dd just seems really bored with CtC. I don't think she feels challenged which actually makes her take a long time to complete school. She's more than capable, but she just gets so distracted. Since my ds is doing MtMM this year, I wondered if I might try her in that guide since we alrea...

Re: Half-speed MtMM for a 6th grader

Actually, if someone could just tell me what "half-speed" looks like for MtMM (not necessarily for a 6th grader) or point me to where I can find out, I'd appreciated it! I hear so much about doing guides at half-speed, but I'm not sure how that works with math and language arts. Thanks in advance! :)

Half-speed MtMM for a 6th grader

Do any of you use MtMM at half-speed with a 6th grader and if so, what does that look like?
