Re: MeWe?

Honestly, it doesn't take a very large group of active momma's to invigorate a board. If even 10 of you committed to post something new twice a week, you'd be surprised how much it would take off... albeit at a more leisurely pace. In the beginning of the board that is all the mommas we had! ...

Re: WH Spanish help/adjustments

Hello! This is a great question! I would encourage you to use the Spanish that is in the World Geography guide. It is a terrific first Spanish course. :D In the beginning, your son can do several lessons a day. Then, switch to doing only a lesson a day for the rest of the year. It is written directl...

Re: New Edition and Notebooking Pages for Preparing?

Great question! We hope to one day make science notebooking pages, but for the time being none of our guides have published science notebook pages. :D Creating professionally designed science notebook pages to go with our guides is a project that is definitely on my radar though! :D Blessings, Carrie

Re: high school chemistry

Robbi, The Chemistry 101 DVDs are really wonderful, however they work better as an add-on to an existing course. :D Otherwise, you would have to add so much to them to make them credit worthy. It definitely could be done, it would just be a challenge. If your daughter is thinking of being a v...

Re: New Edition and Notebooking Pages for Preparing?

Carrie, We will post an update on our weekly newsletter, so if you are signed up for that you will receive information about the new notebooking pages. We are thrilled that they are finally done!!! We still have to do a final proof of them and get them off to the printer, but they are truly beautifu...

Re: Understanding HS Credits

Carrie, In each high school guide, we have an complete grading list for each high school subject that you can refer to when keeping grades. :D You can view it in the "Introduction/Table of Contents/Overview/Grading" sample for each high school guide on our website. For example, here is a link to our...

Re: Nature Journal for MTMM?

Hello! How exciting that you are on the verge of beginning your nature journal in Missions to Modern Marvels. Our youngest son is currently doing that guide too. :D As far as the nature journal goes, the lessons where you need glossy paper are few and far between. We actually ended up using a bound ...

Re: World Geography Literature Substitutions

Heather, We do definitely have a reason behind everything we schedule in each guide! :D With that being said, the book selections in the literature portion of the World Geography guide are some of the easiest to swap between the book sets. This is because they are not the spine of the literature stu...

Re: Only history

Hello! We are glad you are here! :D We do have families use Heart of Dakota only for the history. Many families start that way, and then as the year goes on they add more and more of the guide because they like the look of it! So you never know…you may end up using more of the guide than you think! ...

Re: NBing pages & new guides: moving forward

Hello Rice, This is a great question! We do not have plans to rewrite the guides to require changes to the notebooking pages, except to possibly add notebooking pages to guides that do not already have them. Our goal is to make schooling easier and better with each change we make. :D The notebooking...

Ladies, I am so glad you are excited that the World History guide will now be in color! :D We are very excited as well! :!: We are moving each of our guides to color as they go into a reprint. It will take us about 18 months - 2 years to move all of the guides over to color (as some had just gone in...

Re: Combining for Jr/Sr High LA

Rice,

In Their Sandals can easily be moved to a different year if you desire. I just like to frontload the essential writing skills that are needed for higher education, which is why I suggested doing Essentials in Writing for two years prior to In Their Sandals.

Blessings,
Carrie

Hello Rice! I am hoping we won't confuse those reading this thread, as we discuss your options! :D You have a big family with some unique customization happening, which will be specific to your family. I can see the need to streamline time spent teaching composition, so I'll wade in with some though...
