Re: LHTH for 4 yr old, then MFW K for 5 yr?
I would wait and see how your child is doing after LHTH. You may not need to add anything else. We did LHTH at 4 and LHFHG at 5, no problem. You could slow down if you see it is too much, but it may not be.

Handwriting and Beyond?
My daughter will be 6 in September and is ready for Beyond (having completed LHTH and LHFHG) in the fall. The one thing I don't think she's ready for is the copywork - she needs more handwriting instruction to help her remember how to form letters. So if I continue with the next level of handwriting...

Re: LHFHG Blog?
I have blogged about some of the activities we've done in LHFHG, though it had nothing to do with organization. Honestly, I just "opened and went" with the open and go guide. Mine blog has snapshots of what we've done throughout the year though. The blog is in my signature below. Once you get there,...

Re: Those who have used The Reading Lesson...
We used The Reading Lesson alone, and are moving through the emerging readers now with my 5 year old. Things are progressing nicely, without 3-4 years of phonics. HTH!

Re: Update and prayer request
Hi Heidi,
Praying for you. My brother has Type 1, which he got at the age of 10 (almost 10 years ago). I'm very familiar with it, and with the emotions that go along with a new diagnosis. Sending love and prayers!
Enjoy your time off and your Alaskan summer.

Re: Help With My 4yo, PLEASE!
If he is still learning his letters and numbers, he belongs in LHTH, in my opinion. If he likes to write, you could always let him do a handwriting program. There are a lot of fun, foundational bible stories in LHTH. :D The math exploration activities are fun, and they teach number identification, i...
