Thanks Lynn. I didn't think to do a specific search there. I really appreciate the link!

Times-per-box for the World History guide?

Hello ladies,

Wondering if someone can direct me to any posts regarding expected time for each box in the World History guide? I can find plenty on the World Geo guide but my searches aren't turning up anything on Wld History.

Thanks for any help you guys can offer... :)

Re: Praise for HOD and encouragement for those w/ dyslexic k

What an encouraging post! I love to hear of others who are successfully using HOD with their dyslexic kids. Two of mine are dyslexic and HOD has been a God-send for them and for our whole family. Any one of my kids will readily tell you that HOD is their favorite curriculum, hands down. But for my d...

Re: State Study

Oh that is a good question, but I don't feel qualified to answer because we haven't been through the study yet. My general impression is that the study covers only the beginning history of each state along with some interesting facts, but not the entire history. Maybe someone who's been through it c...

Re: State Study

You guys are right, there's no sense adding it to full schedules. I'd need to tuck it in somewhere there's a little room to breathe and think and absorb. I think I'll just hang on to the materials and be watching for that perfect space. It's helpful to know that there are different schedules. At thi...

State Study

Two of my boys missed the study of the states in Rev to Rev (we didn't find HOD until it was too late for them to fit in all the HOD years) and I'm wondering whether I should try to fit that in somehow. I'm assuming that state study won't be included in the high school American guidebooks. State stu...

Re: Singapore Math

Motherjoy, how do you find time to teach Singapore to all your kids? I'm curious bc I'm considering switching my younger crew to Singapore, but that would be four levels now and eventually five.

Re: New Catalog Arrived!

Yes, mine came too, and one of my boys immediately ran off with it. :)

I managed to wrangle it back into my possession and it is currently at the top of my read-before-bed stack. Happy!

Re: CTC questions

I was just having the conversation with another HOD mom the other day on how to make research a little easier. When having to use Wikipedia, a great little tip that helps is to use the Control + F key. It will pull up a search bar on the bottom of your screen. It will help you locate the info you'r...
