Re: Preparing...taking him FOREVER

You have recieved some great advice from Carrie. I think they key is to have short lessons but to expect attentiveness and diligence. This year I am going to focus on expecting their best. It does not have to be perfect but it needs to be their best work. This works well if you are keeping the lesso...

Re: Do I need teacher manuals and test books for LHFHG?

Great idea Vickie, thank you for sharing!!

I do not have the board but I am sure I can find it at a thrift shop and I may just hand write the cards to simplify.

:-) Thanks!!

Re: Do I need teacher manuals and test books for LHFHG?

Hi Briana! You do not need the TM from the publishers of the books used in Little Hearts. All you need is the HOD guide to use them effectively.

Re: Using Little Hands for a 3yo we're babysitting?

Little Hands is great for a 3 year old and would be very easy to take on the road. How kind of you!

Re: Question for long term users of HOD

I agree the TOG is good for younger students if you are folding them in with older students. The strength with TOG is for the older students. Perhaps your husband would let you use HOD now and TOG when they are older? Then you can take it as it comes. I have used HOD for a few years and I am very th...

Re: Question

I had a hard time last year deciding between Beyond and MFW Adv. Beyond does not cover states, MFW does. I prayed and went with HOD. I loved it. :-)

I would like the storytime

books to be well screened for content. I generally err on the side of being too careful.

I would start Little Hands to Heaven. I think it is perfect for a 3 year old. :-)

We use Fll when they are in 1st and 2nd then use

CLE English in 3rd. I do love how you do not have to use the entire HOD program but can tailor it to each child.
