Hi :) I saw you ask this question at another forum and responded there with something I found. I haven't used them but from my own reading it seems like BHFHG is a "going deeper" from the overview of American History covered in Beyond with still some weightier issues (the wars) not really touched on...

This is really encouraging to read! Just from all I've been able to glean online I have settled on HoD being where we start next year (I'm having a baby at the start of the school year so we're postponing until the new year). I haven't been able to get the book we'll be starting with in my hands yet...
