*insert drama queen icon here* I would LOVE for the high school stuff to be ready...NOW! We are facing high school next year with my oldest and I would love someone to be holding my hand through this! (well, I really just need someone to pat me on the head and say, "there, there!")...

Re: Website Confusion

1---- It says "Designed for use as your entire reading program or as a supplement to an existing program for students in grades 2 - 8." Cool. I have one of those! LOL BUT when you click on the link for book packs, it says this: LEVEL 2 BOOKS Range of Reading Levels 3.0 – 4.1 LEVEL 3 BOOKS Range of ...

I for one can't say enough good things aobut DITHOR! We've used it for a long time, and we love it. I wish I could change my 3rd son's learning style so he would be able to use it, too! (he's my workbook learner) My boys at first were not so interested in it, but after using it for just a few ...

my #1 and #2 are this way-except #2 is way better at math and rubs it in. So then #1 gets angry and the punches start...ever have those days??? So we got ds #1 a desk, where he sits to do all his work. He's still with us, but alone, if that makes sense. the desk is actually part of the living...

I've used it with my ds who is 4.5 for at least three years now. In the beginning it gave him a book to hold onto when he asked to do school, and we would flip though, talk about the letters, read the finger plays, etc. Every year we would add a little bit more (like last year he started using his B...

I haven't done that with my HOD books, but with some of the other teacher's guides I use I actually took the spiral OUT and 3-hole punched the whole thing, and put it in a 3 ring binder. That way I can put all 4 of the boys who are daily school do-ers in one 3 ring binder and have all their answers ...

Add me to the motivated moms lists! :-) Although I don't use it very well...

For the kids we bought a planner from notebooking nook called The Joyful Steward. It's pretty complementary to the HOD stuff, I think.

I can't wait to see the Preparing. I think it will be a good fit for my 12 year old.

I love half price books! We go there a lot. :-) We actually made a commitment to buy nothing new this year, so that means I HAVE to go to the used places! I did make the exception from the outset that it didn't apply to new hs'ing materials... I also find lots of great books at goodwill.

I'm planning to use it again next year with my 9th grader. :-) He's used it for the last several years. (six or seven years, I think) It's easy to use and it would be easy to adjust up for an older. I'm adding a higher grade level vocabulary study and a higher level grammar study. I don't think it's...

I've always had trouble with barnes and noble-they tell me I have to bring in my "card" to prove I'm a homeschooler. Uh, what card? I took them the forms I have to turn in every year, and they said it wasn't good enough. They wanted me to go back and get a signed statement from the school dist...

I'm not sure whether to call my ds a non-reader or a no-reading-if-I-can-help-it reader! Yeah, he doesn't have nearly the same amount of difficulty with reading the nintendo manuals and such. Of course, this is the child we refer to as our politician because he can convince anyone to d...
