Re: R&S or Easy Grammar?? Needing advice...
Jenn, In looking at your precious teaching time and the amount of kiddos that you have in your household, I want to be fair in my advice to you. Carrie, thank you for understanding my situation. You've had so much going on lately; I want you to know I really appreciate that you took the time to giv...

R&S or Easy Grammar?? Needing advice...
Good morning ladies, We are getting ready to start our second year with HOD. Last year, we did not use R&S for any of the kids - we started out the year using HOD mostly only for history and science, and a lot of the other subjects we just continued using the resources we had already been using befo...

Re: Preparing Question
I think Preparing is a great 4th grade program, but only if they absolutely fit there on the placement chart... there would be no hesitation for me to put a child in Bigger in 4th grade, especially if they were a young 4th grader. My daughter is in this situation exactly, on the younger side, and w...

Re: Is there a projected release date
I noticed a comment somewhere - I think in the WH postings that they are expecting to officially roll it out late August or early September. They mentioned that I think this is the time they do it for each level because they need it for when their own kids start school LOL. Will it be possible to s...

Re: Sneak Peek #9: New World History Guide
Carrie, that plan sounds great! Thanks for your advice. That is exactly what we'll do. I've been stressing a bit lately over how we're going to handle foreign language for him but this plan sounds so doable.

Re: Sneak Peek #9: New World History Guide
it is alright to wait to study a foreign language until your children reach high school. Thank you. Seriously, thank you for saying that out loud. I love CM education but I can't tell you how many years Mason's foreign language ideal has hung over my head. I've wanted to implement foreign language ...

Ooh good idea! Now if I could just get my printer to cooperate... why do things always break at the worst possible time? Oh well.MomtoJGJE wrote:You could consolidate things a tiny fraction and only make copies of one of the science experiment pages.

Re: prep time weekly?
This is just one way to do it, but I thought I'd share as we have had a super year doing the high school WG guide, half-speed RTR, and Beyond this way- and with no prep but at the start of the guides! :D HTH! Hi Julie, Thank you for taking the time to explain how you manage things with several leve...

Re: question -- MtMM unit 23 day 2
Tabitha, I didn't see any updated links on the updates page for MtMM anyway so it's okay that you didn't think to check it. I wonder if we could post links here, to the message board, as we find ones that work? Not sure whether that would be okay or not.

Re: question -- MtMM unit 23 day 2
On a related note, I'm wondering if there is a page anywhere on the HOD website for updated links for each book? http://www.heartofdakota.com/updates.php Thank you! I figured it must be there somewhere. :) Lynn, I did find a couple things with him but not the specific part on the Berlin Wall. Oh we...

question -- MtMM unit 23 day 2
Have a question about the independent history study from MtMM, unit 23, day 2. The students are supposed to look up a link to an interview with Brother Andrew on the Open Doors website, but the link doesn't work. We've run into this problem before and I'm usually able to track the page down, but thi...
