Lightbulb moment!

A few weeks back I had been trying to figure out an HOD schooling plan for my 3.5 year old son that will take him through high school, and the challenge was that there will be only 12 guides for 13 years of school (including K). I wrote about my thoughts in this thread: http://www.heartofdakota.com/...

Re: Need Singapore 5a schedule for Preparing

Tree House Academy wrote:If I were you, I would go ahead and purchase the CTC guide (since you will be using it next year anyway) and that will include the schedule all the way through Singapore 6. :)
Also, I believe that it is the RTR guide that goes through 6A/6B, and that CTC only goes through 5A/5B.

I already have it saved in my "School" folder on my computer, and we won't be getting to Beyond until July '14!

Re: Coming Back to HOD :)

A few days ago I asked about how to do Bigger over two years and I got some really fantastic replies and ideas for schedules. If I knew how to find the thread I'd post it here ... maybe someone else can help. I believe this is the thread: http://www.heartofdakota.com/board3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=8808...

Beyond/Bigger spelling questions

I have two questions regarding spelling in Beyond and Bigger: 1) Are the spelling activities scheduled in Unit 1 of each guide the same in rest of the units, or is there some variance? 2) I see in Unit 1 of Beyond and Bigger that Beyond schedules a day for reviewing words that need practice, while B...

Re: Has anyone made a list of books used?

Carrie, and everyone, I apologize for posting that list. I didn't know it was a no-no. So sorry about that. I'm assuming that the only objection to the list was the inclusion of Amazon (i.e. competitor) prices. It was otherwise kind of you to take the time to paste it in. And as it looks like you a...

Re: Carrie, Julie, and everyone: I need reassurance!

Thanks Carrie for your wise words. I do feel at peace with my plan as it stands, which is what I wanted. Now I can give it all up to God and we will certainly go with my son's flow as he grows. :D

Re: Has anyone made a list of books used?

Here's a much easier way to get the complete bibliography (title, author, publisher, date) of the books used for each program: 1) Go to the main product page on the HOD website of each guide for which you need a book list. 2) Click on the link for the the guide's Introduction PDF file (LHFHG and Bey...

Re: Carrie, Julie, and everyone: I need reassurance!

Thanks again everyone, for your replies. They are so helpful to my peace of mind. :) Julie, you've written exactly what I wanted and needed to hear. :D I take to heart what you've written about plans changing and that God was ultimate control. I definitely agree with you, and believe it or not I do ...

Re: DITHR/basic/ddelux pkg. questions

I'm not going to answer to your question because I'm new to HOD and have only been using LHTH, but I did want to let you know that question threads like this need to go in the Main Board so that people will see them. These topical boards are for sharing your personal experience with using the guides...
