Now I am praying that the Lord will send someone my way to share with, as I normally get weird looks when someone finds out that I homeschool!!

Re: Need Advice For 2nd Grade Beyond!

Thanks, Carrie! I really thought I was fine to leave the grammar in Beyond alone, but that "doubting Thomas" was nagging at me!  Sometimes I just need a little reassurance!!

Thanks, ladies!! :)

Re: Yikes! Just found out we have to have 1000 hrs...

KY requires 1062 hours. But my papers say "the equivalent of" 177 six-hour days, so take into consideration how much time is spent in public school that isn't actually instructional time. Such as taking roll, discipline issues, lining up for lunch, lining up for recess, etc. The only think I am requ...

Re: LHFHG for 1st grade?

I have also used LHFHG for 1st grade and for Kindergarten. My dd did just fine with LHFHG for K, but my son used if for 1st grade. I agree with the other ladies about looking at the placement guide for your dd. You are already doing the most important thing - praying! 8) If you think she places in L...

My dd is just starting the 1st grade level of Sing, Spell, Read & Write so I will use "Spelling List 1" and the grammar...

Re: Experiement in Bigger Week 25

I'm not in Bigger yet, but I do have the manual. I think by the previous posts they might be talking about Unit 25 Day 3 Science Exploration. This is what the manual says: Read A Pioneer Sampler, p. 126-129. Turn to the science expperiment section in your science binder or sketchbook. At the top of ...
