To help my children learn Bible passages I have them copy in cursive a certain passage each day for a week. If they can say the passage to me by heart on day 4 they do not have to write it out. It works for handwriting and memorizing.

I usually call them over to me when I have a minute to spare. Sometimes it is right after they read the assignment and sometimes it is within the hour. I try not to let it go past an hour's time so they don't forget. That is just how it works out in our family of four guides!

I would like to know what you homeschooling moms out there do for your down time, not including time with the Lord. How much time do you take and how often do you do something just for you?
