Re: Confused about what to use after Singapore 6B
Thank you so much, Kathleen!!! This explanation clears everything up! I really appreciate your taking the time to explain all of this to me. :D Doubling up actually went quite well. I was reluctant to do it at first and was prepared to slow down at the first sign of frustration for him, but he has f...

Confused about what to use after Singapore 6B
Ds 6th has just started Singapore 6A. Last June 2011 was his first time using Singapore and he started at 4B, doubling up here and there to get him caught up. We school year-round which made this possible. The HoD catalog says after 6B we have the choice of Discovering Math 1A/1B or 2A/2B, Videotext...

Re: Noah's Ark, Noah's Flood
THanks, Miranda - I'm not losing my marbles! It seems easy to just do without, then, or did you use something in place of NA,NF with the drawing book? I used the NA,NF book, because surprisingly, our library had it, but in retrospect, it really didn't add that much to the program imo. Preparing wou...

Re: Noah's Ark, Noah's Flood
I believe the Noah's Ark, Noah's Flood book was just removed from the more recent manuals and not replaced with anything. The older manual I have has it scheduled alongside Draw and Write Through History. I think I had read in a thread not long ago that it had gone out of print.

Re: Week in Review-May 14-18 2012
Miranda, I read this last night, and thought, "Those children, and that table look familiar!" A while back I was looking at MFW, and I came across your former blog and spent SO MUCH TIME THERE! I remember, when you moved over to this new space - I think I even commented here and there on the title ...

We've only used Beyond and Preparing so far (which were both AWESOME) and are in the beginning weeks of Bigger and CtC right now (which are also both AWESOME  ) But I have to say that Preparing holds a very special place in my heart. It was the guide I began with my son (10 at the time) that re...

However, I'm getting a little nervous about starting ds in CtC next Monday and trying to get it all done, kwi...
