Another quick note, I would love to have a guide for me. I have one in Res. to Ref. and two in CtC. I purchased a guide for each of them but I'd like one to make mama notes like, "check caleb's notebook" and such. Hopefully next year I can afford one for me too.

We highlight our books too. Here is The Story of the Ancient World a little highlighted up.

My daughter enjoyed making her shield. She first used graph paper to draw the eagle then transferred it to whit construction paper to color and cut. I like that HOD brings out her creativity, something we weren't doing before. It's a nice break from her other subjects.

Am I the only one who has Guides that look like this. My kiddos feel a sense of accomplishment and love putting a big x or check mark on the box. Once Annette is completely done she checks it off with one huge one across the page

Here's our watercolor paintings. I admit that I didn't know how to smudge. I have two other children down the road so hopefully next year I'll do better.

We enjoyed it though and the boys were pleased with their painting.
