Re: Helping Maintain Curriculum Through Daily Use
I can relate. I agree that contact paper applied to the cover helps. I dread the condition of my Preparing manual that we'll be using next year for the last time for child #5. It is horribly stained from a coffee spill accident. I don't even know if I can tolerate it and might have to buy a new copy...

Re: HOD Nominated for Award - please vote if you'd like!
We've used Heart of Dakota from the beginning, starting with LHFHG and now my oldest is in MtMM. Yeah, I think I could be persuaded to vote favorably for all things HOD.

Re: State Study
It would be very easy to add the state study. On page 5 of the Master Lesson Plan Book, you can choose the course length, anywhere from 6, 9, 18 or 36 weeks.
We're finding the study quite enjoyable.

Re: Should I combine the kids or keep them in seperate guide
I used to combine but I found it easier to let each of my children work at their own level. We have done HOD since LHFHG and my oldest is currently working through MTMM. I would encourage you to let your 6 year old work through LHFHG. It took me half a year to figure out the brilliance of the guide....

MTMM - The Elements: Ingred of the Univ bk
Hello all,
For those of you who have done MTMM, did your kids use The Elements as a consumable workbook, or did they copy all the info onto a separate sheet of paper? DD just started today, so I was just wondering what others have done.
Thanks in advance!

MMTM timeframe
I would appreciate if anyone could direct me to a thread, or give me the times assigned for each box in MMTM. My kiddo needs help with time management. I think our day is going way longer than necessary.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Money Can't Buy What HOD Provides!
My husband insists that we support this family company by purchasing our books directly through them. There are so many days when I'm completely blown away by my kid's studies. I could never come up with this kind of education on my own. We started with LHFHG, and now my oldest is in Missions to Mod...

Re: Thankful that HOD will truly help prepare my ds for coll
My oldest will be entering HS shortly, and it's nice to have reassurance that HOD is preparing students for college level work. This is very helpful and encouraging, and I appreciate your taking the time to share.

Re: CTC Watercolor
Painting with watercolor is a long process simply due to the fact it takes time for it to dry thoroughly. If you tape their paintings down onto a foam board or something equivalent, then it won't be a hassle to bring it out the next day and finish. The background should be done first and the details...

Rev to Rev Map Treck cd frustration
I've been frustrated all year with Map Trek geography in the Rev to Rev manual. I bought this from HOD. The manual page numbers do not line up with the page numbers on the CD, plus there are two files to look in. I regret that I didn't print the maps in advance. Am I the only one that experienced th...

Re: 4 years ago today HOD came through for us
I couldn't agree more!!! When we did LHFHG and Beyond, we bought our books from Rainbow Resource and I didn't think twice about it. I wanted the best price available. We've been using HOD ever since, and the blessings we've received over the years have been extraordinary. I wouldn't survive homescho...

Re: Sneak Peek #3: New American History Guide
I'm doing Resurrection to Reformation with my girls, and we've thoroughly enjoyed Beautiful Girlhood (Beauty girl for short) this year. It's been such a wonderful study, that I hate for it to end! I'm so excited to discover Beyond Beautiful Girlhood exists, and will be scheduled in the New American ...
