Help with ordering?

I am looking at the book packages for PHFHG and wondering for an older student, would I need to order the self study extensions package AND the self study deluxe history package for newly independent readers? AND the basic history read alouds package. And What's the different between these packages?

So I just did the placement chart again. Ctc and PHFHG r very close. I have 9 boxes circled for Preparing and 7 boxes circled for CTC. . I had a difficult time choosing between those two guides because they seemed so similar? Although most of the boxes were both circled for both guides, the boxes I ...

cursive writing?

Trying to decide between the Italic book D or cheerful cursive? Any thoughts? From what I understand these r completely two different styles of cursive handwriting? Any pros and cons to each?

This is GREAT! Thank u! Can I just ask, would this still apply to a 12 yr old 6th/7th grader doing preparing? I noticed that some 8 yr old, 3rd graders are doing preparing... just want to make sure.....
