Re: Using RTR - Earth Science for High School
Have you considered AIG earth science series? I know it's for up to grade 8 but if you add some of the mentioned resources it might be ok. Or if you read it in addition to the already written science in the guide. Or the wonders of creation series from master books. At least the earth science books.

Re: Public School teacher as a home schooler?
I'm still a public school teacher (part time in an afterschool program) AND I homeschool my kids using HOD. it's been fun trying to bring some CM into my classroom. I think my kids are getting a MUCH better education and they have way more fun hands down than their public school counterparts. CM all...

How can you tell when your child is not placed correctly?
I know it's easy to tell when the material is too challenging, but what about when it's the other way around? Dd9yo (will turn 10 in July) grade 4 is in unit 10 of preparing. She is consistently doing the work on her own. She insists on reading the T boxes on her own. Is consistent in her comprehens...

Re: How to separate my twins
I wanted to mention that you could still do the IEW writing. It also has creative writing units. A child should ALWAYS have an outline for writing so even if you use another program, they should still be using an outline. Tips is tricky because they are twins. It would be hard to separate them witho...

CTC?
Oldest dd grade 7 is using RTR this year. Will move on to Rev2Rev next year. DD9yo grade 4 started PHFHG and is in unit 7 or 8. Will continue through next year. DD11yo is where I have the question. We used Bigger this year for both her and the 9yo. They were not well placed. Even with the extensions...

Put them on an iPod. Anything to make school more fun and enjoyable for the kids and you! I can't imagine it would not be allowed.

We have skipped projects before. It's your homeschool, do what works for you and your dd. they are a great at to review and add hands on for kids who like hand on.

Re: When can we order new guide and cost estimate??
Many of the sneak peeks include a link to the cost information. Perhaps if you browse through them you can get a rough estimate. From what I've seen so far of the sneak peeks, $1000-$1500 seems appropriate.

Re: My dd wants to hear your dc's opinions of DITHOR
From Grace age 11 grade 5: Sometimes it's challenging, but you will love it. It's a good challenge. The projects are fun and the assignments are not too long. From Alivia age 9 grade 4: I like to read. The book selections are fun. My favorite book was in grandmas attic. I made a character project ab...
