I make notes in my guides as I go so I remember things for the next kiddo and I mark off each box for each kid with a check for the oldest, a star for the second and a heart for the third.

You could just get the next Thinking Skills book in the series online somewhere. I continued to buy those books for my kids each year.

Re: Guide sequence

Many people stretch out the first few guides in different ways. One of the more popular methods has been to do the first few guides 4 days a week just as the upper guides are done. this allows more time for field trips, errands or dr. appts. and uses up that extra year.

Re: Little Pilgrim's Progress ok for 7 yr.old?

I haven't read that one, but we have read Christian's Journey when my kids were 5 and 7 and they loved it. We've read it over and over.

Re: CTC Paint Supplies-Trouble Locating Items

Michael's has very reasonably priced student paint sets and student brush sets. the brush set wasn't exactly the same numbers as suggested in the guide but it had two rounds in different sizes and 2 flats in different sizes. The paint set had 12 colors which means you only have to mix 2 colors.

Re: To combine or not? Suggestions?

I might do LHTH four daysa week with the 4yo and then do the same with LHFHG. Thar would. Space the two of them out nicely and give the 4yo time to fly.

Re: Question about One Small Square: Seashore

We don't live near the sea, we are in MI. But we did look for some of the things from the book when we went camping on Lake Michigan. It's not the ocean but some things are similar. This was the summer after we had done Bigger. My kids learned a lot from the books even though we can't do the hands o...
