Re: Write w/the Best, what should I do?
I'm wondering, since WWTB is supposed to be worked through together or at least only semi-independently, if you need to work a little more closely with her on these assignments for awhile, with the goal of her being able to follow the instructions more independently. Perhaps work through and then ch...

Re: DD finishes independent work quickly
You might want to check this post viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3765 which lists the typical times for each box and see how that compares to what she is doing. Also, are you looking over her work (written narrations, copywork, etc.) to check for quality?

Re: Colonial Times? Which guide(s)?
I don't have a specific answer, but I do know that you can browse the table of contents for each guide by clicking on the "introduction" sample for each one. You might want to look at Beyond, Bigger, and Rev to Rev. By looking at the table of contents and book selections, you might be able to discer...

Re: CTC Prophecy Fulfillment chart Unit 6
I would say the connection is that the I AM in Exodus is the same as the "I am He" in John. Jesus was proclaiming in John that He is the "I AM", that He is God. Also, as Moses was sent to free God's people from slavery, Jesus came to redeem His people from the slavery of sin.
Does that help?

Re: Week In Review Sept.05,2011 to Sept.09,2011
Better late than never! We enjoyed another wonderful week with RTR. My son is doing well with dictation--I bumped him up from where he was in CTC. That was our first try with dictation and it was good, but I knew he was ready for more of a challenge. After getting in the groove for the first couple ...

Re: Week In Review Aug.29,2011 to Sept.2,2011
I'm playing catch-up (and trying to upload photos for the first time). We are doing a 5-day week with RTR so my "weeks" are going to be a little off. We are thoroughly enjoying RTR and will complete Unit 4 on Monday. We have loved the storytime selections and have had good conversations with Boyhood...

Re: CTC - ease my concerns about history content?
Agreeing with Lynn...there is a heavy emphasis on biblical history (much of that due to the time period), but not to the exclusion of other history including Egypt, Assyria, other civilizations, etc. All the history is viewed through a biblical lens, but not all of the history is directly from the S...

Re: RtR History Project U3D2 Question
My son just used a regular #2 pencil. Our came out similar to the one posted here viewtopic.php?f=14&t=10205 but my guy wrote even smaller.

Re: What type of pen works best on notebook pages?
Julie, We used a liquid pencil product in the past (but not Sharpie) and what we found was you couldn't really hold the pencil like a normal pencil--you had to hold it more perpendicular to the page than a normal pencil--and after awhile my kids found it hard to keep it up. Have you found that with ...

Re: RtR Storytime Question
I found the "ring thingy's" at Wal-Mart in the office supply section. I'm pretty sure the package of "book rings" was less than $1.50, but I'm not positive on the price.

RTR Medieval Writing, week 1 question
Maybe there is introductory material that I didn't read, so please refer me to something I might have overlooked! With Medieval Writing lessons, is the goal to use the key word outline to write the paragraph in the same order as the original and with the same number of sentences? Or is it (the KWO) ...

Re: Half speed Rev2Rev for time purposes?
Just brainstorming...have you looked at how it would work out if you did RTR 5 days a week instead of 4? Then you could start Rev2Rev sooner?
