Hi ladies,
Does anyone know if Carrie or Julie have posted a schedule for the time alloted for the boxes in World History.
I may have missed it. Thanks

Re: World History Guide up on the website

I ordered the World History a couple of days ago and I am so excited. I am enjoying reading the links to all the books and that makes me more excited as I continue to read more. Carrie, you did such an awesome job of putting this together. You are truly anointed. Thank you.

Re: does this meet what the schools teach

Gwenny is right. I put my two older boys back in public school at the high school level, because of a situation beyond my control, and did not have any problems. The school even asked me if they had any subjects/credits from homeschool that could be applied to public school. Also the boys told me th...

Re: does this meet what the schools teach

I live in Texas. I have been homeschooling for eight. years. In Texas homeschools are considered private schools. We are like any other private schools. We do not have to go by what the public schools do. The Texas Homeschool Coilition has a lot of information. Their website is www.thsc.com I hope t...

Re: 2nd year Foreign Language for High School

Thank you Carrie. I was wondering why you only assign 1/2 credit to the Spanish
rather than 1 credit.

Re: 2nd year Foreign Language for High School

I should have not used the word schedule. I don't have a problem with the scheduling part.
I was wondering if there would be a box for foreign language in WH. Thank you ladies for your input.

2nd year Foreign Language for High School

Carrie, Many states require two years of a foreign language. My ds is taking Greek I in WG and he wants to take Greek II next year in WH. Is foreign language going to be scheduled next year or in a later guide, or do we schedule it ourselves? He would like to take foreign language two years together...

Re: Carrie and Julie's Dad

Carrie and Julie,

I am so sorry to hear about your dad, but its comforting for your family to know that he is rejoicing in the presence of the Lord.
I am praying for you and your family. Grace and peace to all of you.

Question about Book of Centuries in WG

Carrie, When I printed the timeline figures that go in the Book of Centuries, I realized that even if he cut out just the portrait of Moses head, it would still be too big. Then I tried reducing the page, but it would only reduce to 30%. How is he supposed to get Moses'big head on a little portrait ...

Percentage of total grade in World Geography

Carrie,
In the introduction to World Geography, when you listed the separate aspects to the grading of the subjects,
you put in parenthesis, % of total grade. How do you figure this out? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Candice,
I finally figured out that the reason I could not find it was because I had to log in first. Thanks.

Results for Stanford Achievement Test

Carrie, I received the results for the Stanford Acheivement Test for my ds who finished 8th grade. I haven't tested him before because our state does not require it, however, because he will be going into high school, I wanted to see how he is progressing. His total reading grade equivalent is 9.7. ...

Substitution policy for New Geography Guide

Carrie, How is the substitution going to work for the new guide? I have the Practical Happiness book. We also did The Fallacy Detective last year in place of the States Stdy because we had done the States Study the year before. Also he has read a couple of the books from the literature list for boys...
