Re: Grading WG
Hi carrie I went here and printed the overview and suggested grading criteria: http://www.heartofdakota.com/pdf/wg-overview.pdf. There is a checklist for the oral narrations and which units should include which aspects of oral narration. HTH

Re: Placement questions! please help me!
Hi Maria :D It is hard to decide... My first thought for your 9 yo dd is to print the first week pdf of Preparing and really look at it and the activities involved. Then assess whether she would do well there adding in DITHOR at her level. If you really think it is too light, do the same for CTC. Al...

Re: Getting Ready to Start up again
Nancy, thanks for sharing. I recently was told by the doctor that my adrenal glands are just about shut down, and that is bad news if we can't get them restored. I am having to rethink priorities, and the thought that I can't "do it all" is really weighing on me. God is gracious though, and this mon...

Re: World History Guide is off to the printer!
I can't wait to look through it One question though, if I just recently ordered, I shouldn't need a postage paid mailer should I? Does it go out with all the guides, or just to those who used the curriculum in instalments this year...I don't want to miss anything

Ok, that is a difficult search...I still have not found a specific "getting ready for" link of any type for Beyond/BLHFHG or LHTH, but here's one that looks helpful http://www.heartofdakota.com/board3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=16231&p=114249&hilit=getting+ready+for+PHFHG&sid=ac31e95fb62c52aaa7c791481ddc38...

My experience with MHBW was that it was difficult for my very literal ds. I would probably do the CTC program and only expect what is reasonable for her.

Re: Balancing RtR and Beyond
What level Rod and Staff are they doing? It is an advanced program, and perhaps you need to drop them down a level? Also, for the science box, I have highlighted specific instructions so my youngest ds knows just how many items he should have completed to show me.

Re: DITHOR for high school - how many genres to cover?
I know Carrie has posted some suggested reading lists in several threads related to beefing up for highschool or adjusting curriculum to make up necessary requirements. Here is just one such post. http://www.heartofdakota.com/board3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=15833&p=111362&hilit=high+school+literature&sid...

Re: Adding some HOD material into 9th grade, special ed chil
Hi Wendy :D I know there are better advisors here in the form of Carrie and Julie, but I thought I would share my first impression. I think your daughter will enjoy the HOD format and the notebooking pages. I also think that starting with RestoRef and moving on through to WG could be a good fit for ...
