Re: WG literature questions
Well, I certainly agree with you as far as reading them. I guess what I was really wondering is if in the guide when it talked about those books if it had questions more for boys.

WG literature questions
My daughter wants to do most of the boy set for the literature in the WG guide. I had her read the descriptions of each book, not telling her which were in boy or girl sets. She chose mostly from the boy set. She is an adventure/fantasy type girl. Not ready for any romance type things!! So my questi...

Re: Economics in MTMM
The only thing they write in the student notebooks is in separate economics pages (not tied to the unit) so you could easily just write in a separate notebook. It is listing the economic principle that was discussed.

Re: Writing question
I think as long as they are doing the work and see where they could improve . . . then you can do it however you want! For example, I've never given my DD a "grade". We just go over the checklist together. So there are probably a lot of right ways to get them the knowledge!! Just my 2 cents!

MtMM Indvidual State Study - which state to pick
Hi, we recently moved (ok, almost 2 years now) but my oldest wants to do our home state for the individual state study in MTMM. All of our family lives there, we go back very often. We are only one state away. Should I make my DD do the state we are in or let her do the one she wants? Does anyone ha...

Re: Ideas to shorten the week to four day schedule
Is Co-op all day? Could you do some when you got home? That's what I plan on doing. You could try to lengthen each day by a subject and see how he does. Maybe do storytime in the evening? Finish some work on Sat? Bigger is a teacher intensive year but over all takes about 2-3 hours a day. Reading Di...

Re: Dictionary recommendations? (PHFHG)
We have the Merriam Webster Children's Dictionary and it worked well for Bigger & Preparing. It had most of the vocab words. For several months prior to purchasing we checked dictionaries out of our library. There were 3 we could check out and a couple that were reference books that had to stay in t...

Re: I'm so lazy...
Oh man, we are so the same! But my almost 4 year old has no desire to do any school. He just wants to play. We are working on (one day a week at least, ha ha) on him just sitting down when i tell him to and listen to a story or do something! I may start LHTH after Christmas because then he'll be 4 b...

Re: New Math Reccomendation after Singapore 6A/6B
Thank you!! My DD does fine in Singapore but doesn't love it. I think it takes her a long time to do each day. Mostly because she needs to learn her math facts better I think.
With her, I am really thinking about switching also. I don't about the boys later. Again, thanks!
