MTMM for highschool
I am just curious why the science is deemed as not enough? It looks like plenty to me, and possible to just add a little to it if it’s not. They are using a highschool science text, plus tons of other resources. Genuinely curious, two of my children will likely be using it for highschool.

Re: IEW old vs new edition
Have you used an older guide too? Are you able to find student books to match older manual?

Re: LHFHG bread making
With the loaves and two fishes… I am hoping there are recipes in preparing. Was there? I can easily just add that in.. but so nice to have it scheduled.

Re: Dithor/storytime combining
I am really thinking about doing drawn into the heart of reading for my upcoming seventh grader. Is there a major jump in difficulty with the 4/5 student book and 6/7?

Re: Dithor/storytime combining
Thank you for all your help! I do not have Facebook and jumped in with five children. I just finished up bigger with the two for today. It was so good. I was having them read everything themselves, skipping storytime, etc. It seemed like they couldn’t settle down for so long in the mornings and ever...

Re: Dithor/storytime combining
Do your children find CTC to be one of the more boring ones for history books? I actually really like all of bigger’s (& LHFHG books), inwhich some have complained about the history. Hoping Res to Ref is more exciting for him. It looks like it is. I’m ok with having him push through it. I really lik...

Re: Dithor/storytime combining
Do you do the hands on projects in the living room as well?
What’s in the morning routine?
Also for CTC- my DS11 can read and understand it, but he finds it horribly boring. Thoughts?

Re: Dithor/storytime combining
Thank you! For storytime- where/when might you do it? Do you go to a different room? Especially when you had multiple storytimes. My house is so loud . I have 3 story times (4 if I count the 3yo).

Dithor/storytime combining
Do you combine children with Dithor and/or storytime- what does it look like, when do you do it? I have my 2 9yr olds doing bigger, and my 11 yr old doing creation to Christ. (My 6 yr old is in LHFHG- I do her story time separately). We took a mini break and came back pretty quickly. Then I realized...

LHFHG bread making
So glad we did the bread making. It went with the Bible story perfectly- and I never would have known she could make her own bread at 6. I subbed out the powdered milk and margarine with heavy cream (all I had). It was SO good. She made another batch today. Hoping there are more things like this in ...

Re: Dithor 2 book order
Thank you! I actually do use rod and staff spelling for 2 children without dyslexia. This one obviously does not have dyslexia either so I plan on switching her over to rod and staff spelling eventually with the dictation. We just did Floss together (she read the beginner bible already) and it went ...

Re: Dithor 2 book order
Thank you! She is in LHFHG, but I already have beyond, so that is good to know. Also helps to know when others have started in AAR so thank you!

Re: Dithor 2 book order
I was listening to my DD6 read aloud and she actually does need to go through the emerging readers out loud with me. I had many of them and she seemed to be reading them all fine, but I think she needs to do it slower and out loud so we can make sure she’s more accurately reading them. When are emer...
