This is working so much better than expected!!
Wow I love HOD!!!! We did BLHFHG last year and it went great and this year due to money issues we had to do a different program with my older two(a friend lent it to us), but I already had LHFHG. I had planned on using it with my then 6 year old, but found out quickly she could easily go into BLHFHG...

What a relief to see this post!!! I have been struggling with the math so far this year! I have one doing LHFHG and two other older ones doing another program but doing singapore math. I got the HIG's and to me they seem more confusing then not having them at all. Maybe what I should do it order the...

Re: My son has autism what do I do now?
Julie that is such a wonderful song! I have just looked over LHFHG. I got it last year to use with my dd, but ended up moving her into BLHFHG with big brother! And really I don't think any of it will be to hard for him and if we just do one page a day it will leave plenty of time to work on things t...

Re: My son has autism what do I do now?
Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. It means a lot to me. I love this board just as much as I love HOD! I was kind of freaking out there and still am very overwhelmed, but you ladies have such good advice. I love my son no matter what and I really wouldn't want him any other way. It i...

My son has autism what do I do now?
I just got a call from the dr. that my son has autism. She had thought at the first visit it was PDD-NOS, but after further evaluation it is autistic disorder :( I am really bummed out here. It is a step up with the autism and I guess I just wasn't prepared for it. I had been doing all this research...

Re: Est. Time for Workboxes in Preparing
I would love to know how some use the workboxes too! I just got the book and have been getting things ready. I will be using it with LHFHG with one child and with my older two also! It will be interesting to see how others are using it!

Re: Which one should I do?
I see what you are saying. When I look at the chart Bigger seems better for LA but as far as History, Sicence, and math perperaing is better. So it is a toss up. I am not sure what to do. We have done American history for two years now and wouldn't mind a change. I am not sure what to do my kids see...

Which one should I do?
Hello everybody- Okay it seems to me that doing Preparing would be the best choice for my kid all around with the exception of the LA. They are not reading on their own yet. The reading program in Beyond would be a better fit for them. So would getting preparing be okay with them and just doing the ...

LHFHG with a chld with PDD(Persavise developmental disorder)
I am just wondering if anyone has a child with PDD (Persuasive Developmental Disorder) and how things have worked for you? Do you do it at full pace or half. Did they seem to understand and get it? Were you able to include other siblings also and they still payed attention? I have one son with a LD ...
