Our plans are to stretch LHFHG over 2 years, but may get it done over 1 1/2 years depending on how it goes about halfway thru. Will prob do as Carrie has done and do 1 side one day, the 2nd side the next day. There are plenty of extra books listed in the appendix, that will be easy to beef up for my...

Although, doesn't bother the kids, they are still out there tearing up the neighborhood with the "scooter gang" as my sister likes to call them. We have taken the last week ...

grading question

hi everyone!! quick question for you. we are very blessed to live in Texas (never thought I would say that as I really don't like it here), in the way that we have no reporting to do, no testing, nothing. Although, now Delainey is starting dance company at a great christian school, and one of the ma...

I am not sure about the houston area, as we are in DFW. But yes, you did hear correctly that we are a very homeschooling friendly state. Basically you are considered a private school, but have to do no reporting to the state whatsoever. As far as the state and school district is concerned, my kids d...

LHTH & LHFHG Supply List

ok, so here we are getting ready to start LHTH with my ds and LHFHG with my dd. All of a sudden yesterday, I get this urge to really go thru my guides and make a list of what supplies are needed for each day so I can have it all typed out nicely for the beginning of each manual. So this way, I can l...

Hi April!! Glad to meet you and have you here!! My dd was the same way when we started kinder, especially since she had just finished the pre-k program at our church and all the kids were moving onto "regular" school. I also buy the kids a new backpack, lunchbox and school supplies each year. They l...

I am planning on buying the books. I will have at least 3 children going thru the program, so it will make it worthwhile for me to buy. And hoping all the books survive long enough for 3 kids, lol!! If finances allow in the future, will plan to buy all the sets as we get to each manual. Will save lo...
