Re: Roll Call 2023/2024?

We are down to only two high schoolers this year, with my older one graduating in May. ;)

This year our 12th grader is doing US History 2, and our 10th grader is doing World History.

The days are long, but the years are short, Mama's! ❤

Re: New Catalog

I received my new catalog today, as well!! :D It's beautiful! Love the new design that still feels like the same catalog I've loved all these years. While I'm sad I only have three years left before my youngest graduates, I'm so happy for all the other families that will be blessed by these w...

Re: New Products Coming...

We have projects in multiple guides Carrie is working on right now. All of them with the goal of making the user experience better - better for the parent and better for the child. We will share updates on the projects within the next month, so stay tuned! In Christ, Julie Thanks so much, Julie! Lo...

Re: New Products Coming...

Are there any hints as to what the new products are? I am starting to get my cart ready to order, as my girls will start their new guides in June. They will finish Unit 26 today! So it would be nice to know if there is anything new coming out I would want to get for any of my kids. Also curious if ...

Re: What guides are you using?

What a lovely thread, Julie! It's been fun reading everyone's posts... I've not posted on here in quite some time. Life's been pretty crazy over the last year and a half. My oldest got married last fall, and that's been quite interesting. All good, but what a year!  This year we...

Re: New Products Coming...

So excited to see this today! :D

We've been using HOD for years, have graduated our oldest 3 from HOD, and have 2 more in the high school years yet. It's been such a big blessing, and I'm looking forward to seeing what new items you come up with!

Blessings...❤

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! :)

I just want to say thank you SO much to everyone at Heart of Dakota! :D We are beginning our 17th year of homeschooling, and have been using HOD since 2010. We've graduated our oldest two, and our younger three will be in 12th, 10th, and 8th grades this year. I've used every guide several times, and...

Re: Reviving forums

Hi, ladies! :D Count me in! You're definitely not alone! ;) My husband and I made the (unpopular it seems) decision years ago to not be a part of fb...we've never had an account. Our extended family members actually got mad at us for this, but we've always felt at peace with the decision. Not judgin...

Re: MeWe?

I agree, we need to get more activity here! :D I've never been a part of fb and have really missed the blessing that this board has been in my earlier days with HOD. I still check back here and post now and then, but it seems like so many moved to fb, and it's been quite slow here. Come back, sweet ...

Re: high school chemistry

Robbi, The Chemistry 101 DVDs are really wonderful, however they work better as an add-on to an existing course. :D Otherwise, you would have to add so much to them to make them credit worthy. It definitely could be done, it would just be a challenge. If your daughter is thinking of being a ...

Re: US History 1 Boy Devotional

From what I've gathered....its the second book in the Stay in the Castle series. People were asking for a book like Stay in the Castle, but geared a bit more for boys. This is that book. Looks like HOD is including it as a boy option, but I'm sure it probably follows Stay in the Castle quite nicely....

Re: World Geography World Religion has a new book

Further to this question, for those of us who have Japan Diary, how long do you anticipate us being able to get the pages that correspond to that book? I have 6 more kids who will (hopefully) use my set of WG books, so don't want to have to purchase the new book to go with the new pages, as I assum...

Re: World Geography World Religion has a new book

If I might ask...why is the book being replaced? Is Japan Diary going out of print? I'll quote myself to say, yes it's gone out of print, and the book that has replaced it (Jesus Did Many Other Things as Well: Short Stories from Japan) is a great book! Having used Japan Diary before with my older 2...

Re: WH Biology

That's really great news, Mike and Carrie! Count me in for getting the new guide!! :) As for the new 4th edition biology, it's really wonderful! ;) It's a beautiful edition with bright colorful pages and updated graphics that include the questions right in the text where they apply, instead of a pul...
