? about LHTH

I have been looking at LHTH and wondering about getting the program for my daycare children. We usually only have a couple infants (under 12 months) and the rest are usually around 12 months to five. There are times that we have a school age child. What are your thoughts? It looks like it would work...

Re: She's come a long way!

What a WONDERFUL narration! Such a proud moment. It is another reminder of the joys of homeschooling. Moments of growth and learning are missed for parents of children in brick and mortar schools. Thank you for sharing this with us!

Re: Let's share our schedules!

I loved reading through the schedule thread. My situation is different in the fact that I also run a family daycare home. I hired a good friend to join me as co-owner this year, which will be a big help. (she has a toddler she plans to homeschool, I sent her a link to HOD). We will be starting CtC n...

Re: Sharing schedules 2012

Thank you so much, Julie! It is a challenge at times to work and homeschool. I do enjoy my slower daycare days here and there were we can get our lessons done in the morning. It is going to be very nice having a homeschool friend working with me, for the both of us.She does need a catalog of her own...

Re: CTC for a 13 year old

A big welcome to HOD! My son is 13-years-old (will be 14 in Aug), and we are also new to HOD. I decided to go with CtC with the extension package; after getting help from these lovely ladies here, looking over the charts, the programs, and what came with each package. My son is a very strong reader,...

Re: Is this terrible?

Aww, Angie hugs to your son, you, and your husband! Your post turned into a beautiful story. So glad to hear that he has come so far. And, yes, what your doing is okay...actually more then okay. edited to add: I think I might have my son do it the *wrong* way also. I will have to wait and see how it...

Re: princess school

My oldest is dong Beyond this year and has really gotten into the pioneers. So lately, she has been 'dressing' her younger brother and sister in 'pioneer' clothes (including bonnet for her) and pretending they have to walk to school. Then they call me 'teacher' until lunch when they again call me '...

Re: princess school

So ADORABLE! And they look so busy. Got to love it! A couple weeks into our first homeschool year, my son decided to wear a gorilla costume all day. I had to chuckle inside all day long, watching this *gorilla* working hard all day.

What will his high school years look like?

I am wondering what my son's high school years will look like. We will be using CtC w/extension for 8th grade (starting next week or the following ~ knowing my son, next week :D ). Will I just remain using the programs in order, using the extensions? The high school years are what I have been worryi...
