Rev2Rev high school credits

The catalog says on page 10 that if you have a high school student using a program in the extension range to visit the main board for directions on which probs are credit worthy. I can't seem to find this post. Can you help me?

Preparing - Noah's Ark

In the catalog we are to purchase "The True Story of Noah's Ark." However, in the Guide that I have calls for "Noah's Ark, Noah's Flood." Should I just divide the pages evenly from start to finish, or should we really only read a portion of this book?

extension packages

I will be doing Preparing this fall for my 4th grade son and 5th grade daughter. Last year they used Bigger and my daughter did the extension packages with it. It worked really well, both my children were pretty happy with it and enjoyed the year. Occasionally, however, my daughter did feel a little...

Re: Little Hearts - History stories for children old version

I already had this book on my shelf when I decided to use Little Hearts, so I did not purchase it from HOD. The book I have has a copyright of 1991. It has a tan cover with teal lettering for the title and author.

Little Hearts - History stories for children old version

I am using Little Hearts, and apparently I have an old version of "History Stories for Children". I've been making it work all year, figuring out what the new page numbers should be, but it is a process that is getting old. And now, it seems like there are stories that are not in my older copy of th...

how to organize home library

I am looking for input on how to organize all these books. I am absolutely loving HOD! However, especially with using the extension packs, I am accumulating a lot of books, and am beginning to have difficulty finding them quickly. How do you organize your homeschool library-- by subject, author, gra...

Re: concrete vs abstract thinking

Thank you everyone for your responses! This is our first year with HOD, so they do not have the benefit of gradually working into it. I look forward to using all all your suggestions and appreciate your encouragement.

Concrete vs abstract thinking in BHFHG

I am using BHFHG with my 8 yr old son and 9 yr old daughter. I have noticed that my 8 yr old really struggles--really just can't/doesn't-- to answer any question that requires any abstract thinking. He is good with answering any fact questions but all I get from him are blank stares when it comes to...

concrete vs abstract thinking

I am using BHFHG with my 8yo son and 9yo daughter. We are loving it together and are so blessed by HOD. I have noticed, though, that my son really struggles with-- I mean truly cannot answer -- questions that are not concrete. He can give back any facts he has heard, but when it comes to thinking an...

electronic books

I hope this is okay to post here. If it is not, please let me know. I am wondering if anyone ever uses electronic versions of the recommended books. If so, how do you figure out how much to read each day, since there are no page numbers on the electronic books. We travel a bit. So, the fewer books w...

LHFHG burgess animal stories

I am considering switching to LHFHG from another company mid-year. I already own the Burgess animal stories. I am wondering if there are many different versions of these books, and if mine are a different version, if that is going to make a struggle for following along with the guide. I also have al...
