Re: A few sneak peeks at the new guide Rev. to Rev.

I'm looking forward to using Rev 2 Rev in the fall also!! Is it too soon to tell the date it will ship? I ask because we'll start our fall calendar August 15th. If it's not ready to ship by then would it be possible to e-mail purchasers the first week or two to get started ?

Thanks!

Re: Rod and Staff English question

Thank you Carrie for such an informative post. I appreciate your response and truly feel free to now follow HOD's pacing for Rod & Staff. It really does feel like a burden lifted. The less tweaking the better. :D I am really looking forward to seeing HOD's highschool guides. I will be patient. :wink...

Re: Rod and Staff English question

I am planning on using R & S all the way through up to level 10. Levels 7-10 focus mainly on writing. I have read in numerous places that R & S used all the way through results in very high test scores and solid writing abilities suitable for college-bound students. Since we like it and I know it i...

Rod and Staff English question

I am trying to decide how to continue with Rod & Staff in the fall when we begin our HOD journey. We are currently working on it at grade level but I see that HOD has students complete Book 6 by the 8th grade. I know that I can choose to go at our own pace with R&S but I'm not sure if I want to do t...

Re: Book Suggestions for an 8th grader

Well I'm antsy and decided to see what I could come up with poking around the internet. Does anybody have any experiences positive or negative with these titles for an 8th grader? Biography - Old Hickory by Marrin Adventure - The 39 Steps by John Buchan Historical Fiction - The Light in the Forest b...

Book Suggestions for an 8th grader

I'm planning on my 8th grader using Rev to Rev in the fall with the extension pack and without the science pack. (This will be our family's first time with HOD) I would like to start dithor in the fall if I can get all of my materials together, but for sure 2nd semester. I'm looking through my catal...

Re: Introduction and Purchasing Question

Julie, I love your schedule. That is exactly how my brain works and very similar to what I've got worked up...but I think I like yours better. I might have to copy that. :D Thank you so much for attaching that!! I know it would make so much more sense to put my 8th grader in CtC with my other older ...

Re: Introduction and Purchasing Question

Thank you ladies. That is so helpful. I am making my shopping list.

Kelly, I often quoted from that scene when I was pregnant with #7. A Captain with 7 children. What's so fearsome about that?
