8th grade math

Hello Ladies, I have an 8th grader who finished MUS PreAlgebra this summer. I had him take the algebra readiness test before starting Mus Algebra I and he didn't do so well. He missed 16 out of 45. :? He knows most concepts, but he makes arithmetic errors so he gets the wrong answer. We are thinking...

Re: What type of pen works best on notebook pages?

My son is having problems with the Sharpie pencil on his notebooking pages :-( He's wants to go back to a regular pencil. It has been working fine on regular lined paper, but not the notebook, I guess I will get to put it to use.

With having two girls in the same guide at 2 different houses at times, we do lose flexibility because we need to keep the same schedule at both houses,...

My family is in a unique situation where we have a "split" family. I have a 4 year old son in LHTH, a 7 year old daughter in Beyond, an almost 9 year old step daughter in Beyond and a 13 year old step son in RTR. My two stepchildren are with my family one week and with their mom and their family one...

Re: Please ease my mind about my 8.5 yr.old doing Beyond!

We combined my 7 and 8.5 year old in Beyond. We started in January and are doing 4 day weeks so we will finish the book after 43 weeks instead of the 34. Both girls are thriving in it. I second guess myself as well, but I know that she is where she needs to be.

Re: BLHFG 4 days a wk

We do four days a week. We started Unit 1 Day 1 on Mon, Unit 1 Day 2 Tue, Unit 1 day 3 Wed, Unit 1 day 4 Thu, then did Unit 1 day 5 the next Mon, Unit 2 Day 1 Tue etc.... So for us to do the 34 units, it will take us almost 43 weeks. My children didn't have a hard adjusting to this, and they are doi...
