Re: WH Ordering Question / English Placement ?

It is good to hear from you! With what you've shared previously and now here as well, I still think moving forward with the plan to do World History as it is written, including the English credit, would be best. There is enough review at the start of EIW, and Matthew Stephen's directions are so clea...

Re: Moving at the beginning of the school year! Need advise.

Good Morning, This is our first year using HOD and I am super excited! But we just decided to move out of state for my husbands work and it will likely be End of September. Not the end of the world but I am wondering if I should either wait until we are settled to start up HOD and just use Time4lea...

Re: Placement for 7 and 5 year old

Thank you for your response! My 7 year old can copy down sentences (1-2 short sentences at a sitting before she wears out). She is working on explode the code phonics right now where she is required to spell words similar to those you mentioned. It's the reading that gets her! She is also already w...

Re: Placement for 7 and 5 year old

Hi Sara! Your 7 year-old could place in either Little Hearts for His Glory or Beyond Little Hearts for His Glory from what you've shared so far. Either guide is very appropriate for a 7-year-old! So, to choose between the two guides, I have some questions. Is your 7-year-old writing letters, words, ...

Re: World Geography Literature Substitutions

Carrie, Thanks so much for your reply. I'm glad that it's a fairly straight-forward substitution here. I'm praying that next year is a real breath of fresh air for us. We're overseas, so don't have the luxury of jumping ship mid-year. :-) We'll continue with our current course for this year and tru...

Re: WH Biology

Hi Tammy! This Biology science resource has recently been revised by the publisher to create a new 4th Edition. Since this revision is a major one, requiring a complete rewrite of 140 daily plans and key ideas, we will not be doing a stuffer and are in the process of updating the World History guide...

Re: Preparing student sheets for 20/21?

Thanks so much for checking back on this! I talked with Mike and Carrie, and we currently are estimating to have them out around October of this year 2020. Amidst health concerns, the web and catalog redesign, unforeseen updates Carrie has had to write, and sadly the passing away of our graphics des...

Re: Combining for Jr/Sr High LA

Hi Rice! I just wanted to let you know I read this and took notes to share with Carrie. You have much going on with a large family, and I can see how combining for composition would streamline precious teaching time. Plus, it sounds like you piloted something similar with your olders, and it worked ...

Re: A Detailed Scope and Sequence?

Wow! Those Excel spreadsheets are amazing! I'm very impressed! I can see how the color-coding and spreadsheets help you visually plan out the upcoming years for your kiddos, and I think you have wonderful plans coming together here for each of your kiddos to get the most out of HOD with the years th...

Does anyone have a suggestion for setting up BHFHG and LHFHG? Thanks for sharing that link from my original post on setting up BHFHG! Since then, Photobucket has had some issues. They were supposed to be resolved, but I see the images are still not showing. Frustrating! Anyway, I recently did a blo...

Re: A Detailed Scope and Sequence?

I'd love to have you look this over and share your thoughts on any/all of it! Julie, Thank you for all this information, I really appreciate it. It'll probably take me all weekend to digest this but I have already begun to study your suggestions. I am assembling a list of follow-up questions :) and...
