Using with 8th grader and 5th grader

Could this guide be used for an 8th grader and a 5th grader? We recently decided to slow down our 13 year old son. He is currently doing 8th grade work but is a very young 8th grader. He would graduate at 17 years old. We are going to slow down and allow him an extra year to graduate. By slowing dow...

My son does not like drawing and coloring.

We will be working through PHFHG this year. My son does not like drawing and coloring pages. How do I accommodate the "Draw and Write Through History" lessons? I will be challenging him enough to do the other projects in the lessons and would like to not have him do the drawings. Are there art pages...

Re: Week In Review Dec. 19 - 23

We chose to take a family cruise for Christmas this year. We of course were not planning to do school while on the cruise. I was amazed though at how much we all learned while on the excursions. We explored Mayan ruins and learned about the Mayan calendar. We were also blessed with a Christian guide...

Thanks, Kathleen

I've used HOD this past year and really love it for my younger 2 boys. I have 3 boys (13, 7, & 4). So if I purchase DITHOR, can I use it for multiple years and just move up in my books? I'm still trying to understand how HOD works for the older kids. One year at a time!! Happy New Day! In His Love, ...

I'm in Texas too. We are in central Texas.

We live in a little town called Kempner. It is about 26 miles west of Killeen which is the home of Ft. Hood Army post. Unlike many of my neighbors, we are not active duty military nor retired military. LOL My husbands business brought us here almost 2 years ago. We are learning to love everything Te...

Do I need Drawn Into the Heart of Reading for 3rd grader?

We are finishing BLHFHG this year and my son is 2nd grade. I plan to purchase BHFHG for next year. Do I need DIHR too? I don't see a reading list for BHFHG? We are loving the books this year. I've begun my shopping for next year and am anxious to put this all together.

THANKS!!!
Angie

Introducing Myself

Hello, I am a mom to 3 very active boys. They are 12 1/2, 7, and 4 years old. First I wish I had known about HOD with my oldest way back when we started our homeschooling journey. Life would have been much simpler. But I'm forever thankful to have discovered it this year. I've been using BLHFHG with...
