If I am doing CTC with 2 students, :D I was wandering if I should get 2 copies of the Genesis book? It seems like I remember my older son writing in it... Any idea? Also, does anyone have suggestions for the nature journal? Just checking to see if anyone wants to share what they are using? Is there ...

Re: Preparing half-speed schedule?
Christine, I am pasting a schedule for half speed Preparing written by Carrie from a previous thread. Hope this helps :D :D Perhaps from the left side of the Preparing Hearts plans you could do the Reading About History box, the rotating box (which really needs to go with the Reading About History b...

Re: Book Lists Anyone :)
I am not sure if you know this already, but HOD sells a book list that you can purchase. It has everything divided up into genre and age group We have really enjoyed having it on hand just for extra reading ideas!

Thank you so much, Julie! I think I feek much better just getting to "'talk" it through with someone other than me :D :D :D I think what I will do is talk with ds, then watch closely for a bit... I like the idea of giving him a chance to get back to par before un-combining, because yes I also though...

I'll have him correct them. (Maybe using Beverett's post-it note idea! ) I forgot to mention that I think I got this idea from Julie, though I would love to take the cridit, it is not mine   Sooo I think your plan sounds really good... but i agree when you said I guess where I'm stuck is ...

Re: How should I deal with errors in copywork?
I just have them check over it before handing to me, then I make corrections on a sticky note and post it to their paper. This has worked well for us. For my younger son doing Preparing I also include the line number... he goes and makes correctons and brings it back for one last check over .

Thank you, Julie! Yes, these are all very good questions as I did not do a good job of giving a clear picture. Okay, let me try to explain a bit better!  I have in the past tended to be a little on the perfectionist side, but really think the Lord has smoothed that out of me with all my b...

wisdom needed? Please=)
We are starting unit 29 of Preparing today... my question is about my 9 year old son. He is doing well and can finish everything in the guide and has great comprehension of things. The thing that concerns me is that his handwriting(motor skills) is not up to level with the other. What I mean is that...

Re: Question about DITHOR
This is a very good question, and one that we will face in the future, so I would love to know myself waht others have done! My oldest did CTC last year, but for high school. He did do DITHOR, and I had him do Dithor 5 days a week so that he would do each genre...but I guess that was because I knew ...
