Re: ACE Biology DVD's....
Of course! I was thinking about possibly supplimenting with the Biology 101 DVDs. It seems to get good reviews. Just a thought if your child enjoys video content.

Re: ACE Biology DVD's....
This was Julie's when I forwarded the ACE emails to them: Mike recently spoke with our ACE contact, and he said they still don't have a production date for the new Biology DVDs. However, they still might within 1-2 years. For now, you can order the Lab only DVD and receive lab credit. Then, if the o...

Re: ACE Biology DVD's....
I just got a response from ACE (Tim Briggs, Customer Service Rep): Response 1: We made the decision earlier this year to discontinue the individual Biology DVD’s as they we were having many issues with them and they were not required to complete the course. However, we still have the Labs DVD which ...

Re: ACE Biology DVD's....
I was looking at this same thing. Will the DVDs be out in time for next year? I'm not seeing them used anywhere.

From Extensions to High School
I know this is a little ways off, and I think I saw some else post something similar on one of the facebook pages (or yahoo group or the forum). If your child is doing the extensions, how are you going to handle moving to high school? Do you "beef up" MTMM? Or do you skip MTMM? Or do you skip Rev to...

Re: I am thinking of using HOD...
I agree too. Bigger and LHFHG. If the placement chart leans you toward Bigger and Beyond, then I would probably entertain combining them in Beyond and having your oldest do the 3Rs from Bigger. Let us know how things seem to look on the chart!

Re: Sons wants to study a different history
My kids aren't there yet, but maybe you could select American History books for DITHOR? Surely you could find a lot of books to match up with the generas(sp?). So he could have an American History focus there and it wouldn't be "on his own time"? Just an possibility.

Re: Phonics and Emerging Readers during Beyond
You can easily just start the ERs when you're done with your phonics program. So in week 10 just start the ERs. You could finish them next summer. Or, you could start the ERs alongside the end of RME if you thought your child was ready.
Either way. =)
Either way. =)

Re: number tracing pages
If you can't find what you're looking for, you can search google for "Handwriting worksheet generator" and you will find websites that let you create a worksheet with numbers. Here's an example of one such website. http://www.handwritingworksheets.com/flash/printdots/index.htm You might have to sear...

If you PM me, I'll email it to you. I used Open Office, but have converted it to excel to send to whomever wants one. Converted it to pdf so I could convert it to a jpeg to get it to post to the site. Shew! Anyone else that wants it, feel free to pm me as well.

Re: Daily Lesson List for Your Children?
I made a checklist for each of my boys to try out for this year. (Someone else passed this idea along to me and then I changed it a little bit. Credit goes to that other person!) It is in the same pattern as the manual. (Actually, the pattern matches Bigger because my oldest son is doing Bigger.) I ...

Re: Creating a notebook in Beyond
I was just thinking about this as well. Last year we did LHFHG and used a composition book with the top half open for pictures. Whenever we were supposed to write a sentence about Reddy Fox, we would write it at the bottom and I would have them draw a picture at the top. They really enjoy looking ba...
