2 year old & LHTH

I have started using LHTH with my 2 year old son. At first I thought it would be too much for him ( and me) since I am using Bigger with my older two right now. But last week we gave it a try and I can not explain how wonderful it is! Because I am "doing school" with him, which totally seems like mo...

Re: Missionaries/Missions

I have a big heart for missions and that has passed on to my daughter, so we are always including missions in our curriculum. We are doing a mission study right now through www.mypassporttoindia.com It is truly amazing! It is completely free also. You get to watch videos of a missionary in India and...

This is REAL learning

I decided to post this in this folder because it doesn't look like anything new has been posted in here for a while. Re: Have the HOD books you've read ever made you change

We are a military family and currently live in base housing. It isn't bad, but it's not the best either. We had been looking for a bigger place with a nice yard for the kids to play in. We found a house to rent in a much nicer area and I was so excited about moving. But then one of our devotionals w...

Benjamin West - Berry Juice Painting

The kids learned about Benjamin West this week and his love for drawing and painting. The kids really enjoyed painting with berry juice, the same way Benjamin started out painting! My two year old enjoyed licking his art work!

HOD and Dyslexia

My ten and seven year old have dyslexia. They were both tested in August and one is severe and the other is mild. This is a HUGE challenge to me as a teacher. The past two weeks with my daughter has been very discouraging. She is ten years old and is still struggling with reading, spelling, and her ...

Persistence

I am loving Bible time with my kids! My 7 and 9 year old are really excited about memorizing their bible verses with our silly hand gestures we made up to go with the words. And we worked on dictionary skills as we looked up our character trait this week : persistence. That afternoon my daughter was...
