What are thoughts on any of the books in the Animal Ark series? For Mystery or Adventure in either storytime or Individual reading? I thought i heard or read someone once say they weren't good like the classic books. More of twaddle... i could be wrong.

I have just started to add in CL reader 2 with my son. We are on unit 16 in Beyond this week. i figured he could read 7 pages a week and be done with it by the time we finish the Beyond guide.
We also do DITHOR at our pace.

I also say about 30 minutes. Sometime just a little longer when doing art or something like that.

I agree with the previous post. i only use 2 guides (LHFHG and BEyond) right now, but soon will use LHTH with my 3 yr old. My son (and daughter) really enjoyed the game keeping the cows, pigs, sheep on the island. Being timed was so fun for them. We had little sheep, cow, and pig figures so it made it even more fun than just using cotton balls.
Glad to see them so excited about it.
