Re: Soon to be starting high school and need encouragement

Tiffini, So, yes, I encourage you - lay your worries aside, trust in God to provide what your daughter needs, and rejoice in the fact that she wants to do high school at home! God can be trusted to be who He says He is - in your life and in hers!! Thank you so much for your heartfelt response! This ...

Re: Soon to be starting high school and need encouragement

I just have to mention this. Our second WG box arrived, and we had so much opening the package. I love the way Carrie's son wraps the books up in the brown paper. They're practically gift wrapped. Thanks for the tip on not over thinking the grading, LynnH. I was very encouraged by your post, and wil...

Soon to be starting high school and need encouragement

Well, my oldest is doing WG for her freshman year this fall. I've been extremely unconfident in our decision, since there is a huge part of me that wants my sweetheart to experience some of the fun and opportunities from school that I can't offer her at home. But she loves HOD and is firm in her dec...

Foersters algegra

Is there any way I can get samples of this math program? I'd like to see what I'm buying because the price is pretty substantial.

Can anybody help me?

Go to the Main Board. Under the "locked" posts, one is dedicated to upgrading/beefing up guides for high school. Hope that helps.

Re: Junior / Senior High Questions..long...would love some h

There was a great thread entitled "List Benefits of using HOD in High School" started by LynnH on Feb 5, 2015. I don't know how to add the link, but it would be worth the time to do a search and read through the posts. Maybe someone who knows how could add it to this thread. It's a highly encouragin...

Re: New here - is there a Family Cycle option in HOD?

I would have liked a family cycle, and know others who use it successfully. However, when the readings started to get a little more advanced, the younger ones would leave the room. I couldn't keep them together if I wanted to. I'm homeschooling five children using four guides and it's manageable. My...

MTMM -- extracting DNA from a tomato

I just have to say I was really excited for my oldest to start MTMM this year. I thought she'd really enjoy the science, with the intro to chemistry and biographies and so on. Yesterday she had to do the experiment in which she had to extract the DNA from a tomato. It actually worked!!! The experime...

Re: Anyone Have Challenges With A Book of Discovery?

We just received our WH order yesterday that included the history and living library. My older kids sat around the table as I unwrapped the books and checked off the list. Mind you, my oldest is drooling at this point. Everyone is excited until one of my girls turns over A Book of Discovery, and see...

Re: Sneak Peek #1: New US2 History Guide

I'm so thrilled with this announcement, especially since my oldest is about to start high school in the fall. We've been doing HOD since the beginning with LHFHG, and it's been a blessing to our family all these years. I can't believe we only have four more years to go! I'm so grateful the high scho...

Re: Which book for Bible in CTC?

Hi,

You'd probably want to order from HOD so the pages in the book line up with the pages in the manual. We're doing CTC now and loving it. Hope you do, too!
