I have the same problem. I have the 1997 copyright version but it does not match up. Any solutions yet? Thanks!

THANK YOU! Thanks to HOD and CM posters!

I just wanted to thank those of you who take the time to check and respond to posts. I have been "bugged" since Friday! I visited a pool with several friends. Of course, they asked me how homeschooling was going. We are only a week into Bigger w/extensions with my four kids(ages 8-11). I love my fri...

Supplies for Bigger

Can't wait just one more week until my kids are done at their school and our home education journey begins! I must be nesting because I want to get as organized as possible before we start. Just was wondering if you guys had some thoughts on necessary supplies. I will be using Bigger with extension ...

Re: I'm starting to panic!

I knew you guys would encourage me! After reading the posts yesterday, I got out of my head and into the Word! It's funny how we lose sight and start to panic when God is moving in our lives. I just needed to remember that all of this is in His timing. He would not have given me a desire to bring ou...

I'm starting to panic!

O.K. I'm just venting here. I have 4 kids in a small private school. We decided to homeschool and will begin this summer. In the meantime, we became aware of a boy that we might be adding to the family via adoption. He is seven years old. At first, it looked like the adoption wasn't going to happen ...

Re: How do you guys keep your home safe from school clutter?

Wow, thanks for all the helpful advice. I knew you guys would come through! Maybe we could get HGTV to do a series just on how to be a homeschooling household without looking like one! I really like the idea of rolling carts. I do have a storage room off of one of the main rooms. I could easily roll...

How do you guys keep your home safe from school clutter?

Hello: I'm fairly new here. My kids are currently in a small Christian school but we will be starting HOD this summer. I'm "nesting" right now in preparation for schooling. Trying to clean and organize in anticipation of no longer having 6 hours of "alone" time! Anyway, I was looking for suggestions...

Singapore manipulatives??

Hello: While looking at the Singapore website for placement info, I came across a chart with manipulatives that can be used at each of the levels. I'm assuming that they are very optional as Carrie does not mention them in the catalog but wondered if anyone invested in any and if they were worth it....

Re: DS Struggles W/Bigger

I'm new to the boards and HOD so I can't give you any advice on the curriculum aspect but I do want to encourage you to stick with it. My son who is now eleven struggled with reading so much that I gave up homeschooling. I had several seasoned moms telling me to slow down and wait but I just couldn'...

Re: Meal Planner

Amy: You and I seem very similar. I like to cook, my kids aren't picky anymore b/c I dangle dessert in front of them and they don't get it unless they have eaten the stuff they like and tried the stuff they don't! We feed 6 3/meals per day. I wish I could spend as much as the person from you study b...

Re: Meal Planner

Yeah: I wish I was like some of my fiends who keep their house clean, home school, and develop their own meal plans....but alas...! I used to say that at least I was a fun mom but now as I'm getting older that may be fading as well  ! There are a lot of great resources on the internet. I think...

Re: Stumped at the Bible part of Beyond this morning?

It's kind of like what I tell my husband when he is trying to assemble something. He is always convinced that the manual/instructions are wrong! But sure enough it is the builder! LOL God uses this stuff to keep us humble!

Meal Planner

Hello All: I'm very new here but wanted to share a website that I love. Its thescramble.com It is a weekly menu plan including grocery list. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I think it is one of the reasons I think I might be able to homeschool next year. I hate processed convenience food and ne...
