Re: Using Beyond and Bigger together?

We'll I went for it. I bought Preparing and plan on doing Beyond with my 7-9 year olds, and Preparing with my 12 year old. I'd love to see anyone who has done both at the same times schedules! I will start Beyond first, since I already have it here and then Preparing in about 2 weeks when I receive ...

Re: Using Beyond and Bigger together?

When I ran Beyond and Preparing together, I had a schedule I put together. I would spend about 1 hr in the morning teaching Beyond and 1 hr in the afternoon. Your 7 year old and 9 year old would have plenty of time to spend keeping the littles busy. You might also look at doing some of it when your...

Re: Using Beyond and Bigger together?

Hi there! Thanks so much for sharing about each of your children! From what you've shared so far, I think I'd place the 7 and 9 yo together in Beyond Little Hearts for His Glory. The 12 yo, maturity-wise and age-wise, would probably place best in PHFHG. Even if he takes a little longer to complete ...

Using Beyond and Bigger together?

Hi everyone, I am not new to Heart of Dakota as oldest child (now graduated) has used CTC and WG in the past, and I have used a bit of LHTH, LhFHG and Beyond, but what I am new at is having so many kids and using more than one guide! I have 6 children under the age of 12 and schooling 3 of them form...

Hello everyone!

Just thought I would reintroduce myself as I havent been here in well over a year (or longer?)! Anyways, my name is Amber and I used CTC with my then 5th grader (now going into 7th!) during the 2009/2010 school year, but decided to go another route with him last year for several reasons. None of the...

The books you chose for the boy study were exactly what I wanted to get this year for my ds , but didn't! I am so excited to hear that you are using them next year and helps to keep me focused on my plan to use HOD next year also!!

Re: Week in Review: 9/28 through 10/2

We had a fun week, too! We completed Unit 4 in both LHTH & LHFHG and did the first 3 days of Unit 5 in both guides. Everyday is a fun adventure! :D My dd3 loved making letter "D" in chocolate pudding, even ds6 joined in. They were amazed I let them have chocolate pudding at 9:50 a.m.! http:/...
