Re: Roll Call 2023/2024?
Glad to hear it's all working out! And I think that's ok for your daughter doing Beyond, she will grow into it. Will you use Copy the Classics? I would highly recommend it. I wish it had come out earlier so we could have used it all last year.

Re: LHTH love it!
I'm glad you are enjoying it now too! My DS5 would not have been ready at 3. My older children were ready for a preschool program at age 3, but my littlest guy definitely was not. We started HOD right after he turned 4 and have now done it twice through. I think he's just recently started to really ...

Re: Roll Call 2023/2024?
It's from AT & T, it's called a TCL Classic. I think other carriers have the same one though if you're not with AT & T.

Re: Roll Call 2023/2024?
Who says you're behind schedule? :D I'm sure no one here does. Wherever your family is at is right on schedule for you! Proper placement is so important though, I'm glad you are happy with placing your daughter in Beyond. I'm sure she'll do great! I quit social media about 3 or 4 years ago and it ha...

Re: Roll Call 2023/2024?
Hi Mgs! After seeing so many of your posts here it's nice to get a breakdown of where you are at. :) We are in Week 18 of CTC with DD10. She will start Res to Ref around the same time as your DS12! She doesn't like doing the written narrations but she is getting so much better at them with the guida...

Re: How much chore time?
Ages here are 5, 7 and 10. They are all expected to keep their room tidy and do a 5 min. tidy every morning. Make their beds brush teeth, etc. We have some animals so my DD10 takes care of the rabbit, my DS7 takes care of the chickens. DS5 might help me take care of the cats/kittens. For meal chores...

Re: CTC Geography as Independent
Thank you so much for the explanation! I always like to know the intention behind how a guide or a part of a guide is written. That is SO helpful in making sure we are getting the most out of the program. I wouldn't have considered her reading it independently unless she had asked to herself. It is ...

We got ours yesterday too! It's beautiful! I told my daughter that even though I already knew what we were going to buy next time it was fun to look at it all!

Encouraging Independence in Beyond/Bigger

Copy the Classics Review - 5 Stars!
We just finished our first week using the new Copy the Classics book. We are in week 27 of Beyond, I only wish we had had this all along! It's a wonderful addition to the program. The finish on the paper is easy to write and draw on, it helps to make copying the poem more consistent and there is roo...

Re: Sensitive Topic - Is the Bible Infallible
When I found HOD, I found it standing on issues and picking books that backed up our love for Jesus and our belief that God’s Words in the Bible have been preserved by many faithful Christian’s going all the way back to Antioch where we were first given our name of Christian in the NT. You put that...

Sensitive Topic - Is the Bible Infallible
Hi all, I have a question on a sesnsitive topic. I am only up through doing CTC so I don't know what the upper guides say about this topic and wondering if anyone can help me out. I am on the Call Committee for our ELCA church. I am not Lutheran myself - I attend a Lutheran church because my husband...
